Even though we were a few minutes late and the chef was already in his afternoom break, we could order two pizzas for take away. Delicious pizzas, vegetarian labels in menu, friendly staff that speaks some English, thank you!

Ein wirklich sehr gutes Restaurant in einem großzügigen Innenhof einer Einkaufspassage o.ä. Nachdem wir sehr spontan ein Restaurant gesucht haben, welches neben Pizza, auch Pasta serviert, sind wir schnell fündig geworden. Nur ca. 10 min. Fußweg vom Bahnhof Mendrisio entfernt. Als wir ankamen war das Restaurant bis auf 1-2 Tische leer, aber im Laufe des Abends waren bald fast alle Tische belegt. Für uns ein gutes Zeichen, dass u.a. auch viele Einheimische/Italiener zu Gast waren. Wir wurde so unglaublich herzlich von der Servicekraft empfangen. Wir haben uns sofort extrem willkommen gefühlt. Die herzliche Art der Servicekraft ist in der Gegend auch nicht immer selbstverständlich. Der Oberkellner versteht zwar ein klein wenig Englisch, aber die weiblichen Servicekräfte sprechen nur Italienisch, dennoch hat die Kommunikation unerwartet gut geklappt und wir hatten einen sehr amüsanten und wunderschönen Abend. Auch dank des Personals. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Zu den Getränken wurde selbst gebackenes Brot (ich glaube eine Art Foccacia) gereicht, welches himmlisch lecker war. Die gefüllten Ravioli waren ganz nach meinem Geschmack und sind sehr empfehlenswert. Die Pizza war wirklich gut und wer jetzt denkt, Pizza kann jeder, der irrt sich. (Einige Tage zuvor wurden wir am Comersee sehr enttäuscht.) Wir hatten im Restaurant Essenziale einen wundervollen, leckeren und lustigen Abend. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Siamo andati io e la mia famiglia a celebrare il mio compleanno, siamo stati molto fortunati a tornare una serata con musica da vivo ed è stata una bellissima serata! Partiamo da servizio molto attento e cordiale, sempre attenti ma senza dare fastidio (una cosa che apprezzo), il cibo ottimo!! Io mi sono deliziata con un carrè di vitello eccezionale! Questo ristorante è dotato anche di molto parcheggi quindi molto comodo ! Prezzi direi molto buoni per essere in Svizzera anzi avrei pagato anche qualcosa in più perché qualità c’è! Consigliatissimo!
